WELCOME to Scandi School, Fall 2018!

Välkommen till Skandinaviska Skolan!

A big welcome to our newest families and a big welcome back to our friends from last year! I so look forward to a year of gardening, prepping and spending time with you all and your children!  Remember we have open kitchen hours from drop off until 10:30 AM where we can prep and chat and always we will need TLC/ watering or tending to our gardens on a daily basis, certainly with the heat still lingering.

Fall is an exciting time at Scandi School!  We are chock full of events.  From our Welcome Back Night to our Cocktail Social, our Food Event where we invite our Nutritionist and Parent Alum, Tamara Duker Freuman for her expert advise on choosy eaters and talking about our communal meal approach to lunch time.  Then we have Fall Harvest and Lucia!  So much fun ❤️!! 

I'm also look forward to starting a new vermicompost with you all in the coming weeks.  We'll be asking for newspaper to start it.  I look forward to welcoming new and old Eco-Committee members, who will help us in our efforts of gardening, Re-cycling, Upcycling, Maintaining our Resource Centers and pursuing Eco-Schools Certification.  If you're already interested or would like to learn more, email ecosustainabilityssjc@gmail.com
